Konami refutes wild rumours about Silent Hills

Sometimes, when news is on the slow side, we cover rumours concerning the video game industry. However, we try to not just cover any old thing, and not anything that looks like it comes from a person in a tinfoil hat.

For the last while, a rumour from a dubious source has been circling that Sony was somehow going to take or acquire the rights to Silent Hills from Konami to make its own reboot.

Konami has denied these rumours, going to the source of the ‘report’. “We’re aware of all the rumors and reports but can confirm that they are not true. I know it’s not the answer your fans may want to hear.”

“It’s not to say we are completely closing the door on the franchise, just not in the way it is being reported.”

Konami spokesperson to Rely on Horror

As much as we would like to hear about a Silent Hill reboot or a new entry to the series, there doesn’t seem to be anything happening right now.

If it has the letters RPG in it, I am there. Still battling with balancing trying to play every single game that grabs my interest, getting 100% in a JRPG, and devoting time to my second home in Azeroth.
