Nier Replicant is getting ‘upgraded’ for PC, PS4 and Xbox One

Nier fans will be rather happy to read that Square Enix is publishing an “upgraded” version of Nier Replicant later this year.

The version will come to PS4 and Xbox One and will let PC players get hands-on with Nier Replicant too.

There is no release date yet, but it does appear that the release will happen sometime this year, during Nier’s tenth anniversary year. There will be new voice work, a re-recorded score, new characters and some bonus tracks from composer Keiichi Okabe. There was no confirmation, but don’t be surprised if there are new endings too.

Toylogic is developing it, but Nier Automata’s senior game designer, Takahisa Taura, will be on hand.

Considering the first Nier was a game with a cult following that many skipped or never even heard about, this is a chance for people who hopped on at Nier Automata to hop in and see the full story.

There is also a new mobile game on the way, an RPG called Nier Reincarnation. So get ready to dive into that universe.

If it has the letters RPG in it, I am there. Still battling with balancing trying to play every single game that grabs my interest, getting 100% in a JRPG, and devoting time to my second home in Azeroth.
