Virtual Reality headsets are almost made for horror games simply because it allows for a more immersive experience ideal for the scares. Roguelike VR game, The Persistence has enjoyed that novelty for the last two years or so, but now developer Firesprite Games will be bringing it to just about all other platforms.
While announced last year that Firesprite is working on bringing it to more traditional platforms, it was confirmed via a trailer that The Persistence will launch on PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch on 21 May,
When we made the move to bring The Persistence to new platforms, our key focus was to ensure that the particularly brutal nature of gameplay made the leap to non-VR. As a result, The Persistence keeps players on edge from beginning to end, and with a procedurally generated environment forming around them, no two playthroughs are ever identical, meaning you will never find safety in the same spot.
