Over the weekend news started to pop up regarding yet another Wii U port that would be making its way onto the Switch. As we’ve covered before it makes sense, considering not only the quality of the Wii U games but also the small amount of people that had the older console. This time around it looks like Pikmin 3 may be getting the ‘Deluxe’ treatment.
According to Jeff Grubb (writing for Venture Beat in an article related to the new Paper Mario game reveal), Pikmin 3 should be joining the (also rumoured) classic 3D Mario ports coming to the Switch this year. The third instalment in the Pikmin series was first released on the Wii U back in 2013 to generally positive reviews (Metacritic: 87/100).
Nintendo’s 2020 lineup has looked pretty slim so far but after the confirmation of Paper Mario: The Origami King, the 3D Mario and now Pikmin rumours are starting to make a lot of sense.
