I can’t wait to play the shark RPG Maneater on Friday

Tripwire Interactive’s amazing looking shark RPG called Maneater hits PC and consoles on Friday, and I can’t wait.

When it was first announced, I had a good laugh at how silly it all seemed. But after years of being terrified of sharks and things that lurk in the deep waters, I think a game about hunting things, mutating to deal with threats or trivialise them and being the one that everyone else fears in the ocean, I think I need this. I want to eat everything and have fun jumping clear out of the ocean, turning into the most fearsome, coolest looking shark around.

I found myself drawn to games with lovely underwater areas, even though a part of my brain is terrified by it. Now I can explore the oceans and be the scariest thing, or at least, work on becoming the scariest thing in there. Just looks at the shark at the end. It looks part monster.

Maneater releases for PS4, Xbox One and PC via Epic Games Store on May 22. A Switch version is in the works for a later date.

If it has the letters RPG in it, I am there. Still battling with balancing trying to play every single game that grabs my interest, getting 100% in a JRPG, and devoting time to my second home in Azeroth.
