Last night Ubisoft half-teased, half-announced a new battle royale called Hyper Scape. The full unveil happens on Thursday, 2 July.
Welcome to Prisma Dimensions, a tech company that specialises in “direct neural simulation”. A new product, called Hyper Scape is where the “pulse-pounding action of Crown Rush” happens, inside a virtual city covered in neon lights called Neo Arcadia.
The teaser site offers a sign up for news. Journalists and streamers have been posting images of the game, saying more info will be available soon. Some have since deleted their posts, possibly due to messing up the specified times for when to release teasers, or to make people pay attention to messages that were quickly deleted.
Hyper Scape is built with Twitch streaming in mind, with chat having some sort of influence over game mechanics.
Many indie titles have launched with Twitch integration in mind, but seeing a larger developer use it might give this battle royale the edge it needs to find a niche in the crowd.
