Can you believe that it has been almost a month since we got our first look at what Sony’s new console generation will look like? Yes, the big “Future of gaming” event was held on the 11th of June. And while opinions on the PS5’s tall, white-finned design vary – personally, I rather like it. However, whether you like the new space-age look, in a time where almost every little feature gets its own special reveal, we now also know what PS5 games’ box art will look like.
In a PlayStation Blog post yesterday, Sony showed off the Spider-Man: Miles Morales PS5 box. The box itself sports the blue plastic we’ve become accustomed to, however, much like the PS5 and DualSense controller – white is a lot more prominent. The area near the top of the front and on the spine of the box, where the PlayStation logo is displayed, is no longer light blue, but instead white with a black PS5 logo providing a striking contrast.
It’s not a big change, but again, the minimalist white style will not be to everyone’s taste. Then again, who are we kidding… everyone is going digital next generation, right?
No need to worry about boxes then.
