Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is more co-op FPS from the creators of Vermintide

Fatshark revealed its third game in the Warhammer universe last night at the Xbox Games Showcase, continuing in the vein of the Vermintide games.

Set in the Warhammer 40K setting this time round, Darktide will see Imperium fighting Chaos cult as soldiers walk into a hive city, only to find hordes of cultists waiting for them.

“Players will not be able to hide behind lethal ranged weapons, they’ll need to combine both FPS and melee skills as they get up close and personal in visceral clashes between Imperium and Chaos factions.”

Players will be Inquisitorial Acolytes, but we don’t know if much more beyond it following in Vermintide’s footsteps, offering co-op FPS action for up to four players. If the previous games are anything to go by, get your friends ready for a long burn, as Fatshark enjoys adding in units, factions and environments to keep things fresh.

Warhammer 40,000: Darktide has a 2021 release window.

If it has the letters RPG in it, I am there. Still battling with balancing trying to play every single game that grabs my interest, getting 100% in a JRPG, and devoting time to my second home in Azeroth.
