It didn’t take too long after the game’s public beta was announced, but Hyper Scape, Ubisoft’s attempt at taking a slice of the battle royale market, finally has a release date of 11 August.
The Beta for Hyper Scape was only available on PC originally, but as was expected, the game will be available on console platforms when released in two weeks time, which is PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Interestingly, there is no mention of Google Stadia, which Ubisoft has supported pretty well since launch.
Season 1 for Hyper Scape also starts on 11 August, and will include a new gun, a new hack and a new limited-time game mode, although if we’re honest, everything will be rather new when it releases. So, if you’re keen on a fresh take of the Battle Royale formula that seem to be going for faster-paced, close-quarter combat rather than the big open maps that we are accustomed to, you can try it out for FREE come 11 August, 2020.
