Remedy’s decade-long plan to connect all their games will bear fruit on August 27

Playing Remedy games has always rewarded exploration and keen observation. Ever since Control released a year ago, fans have been sifting through Bureau documents for more information that shows connections between Control, Alan Wake and Quantum Break.

The sifting went back to the older games too. Suddenly screenshots of blackboards in Quantum Break looked a lot less like gibberish, mentioning AWEs and the like. Some wrote it off as Easter eggs, nods from developers to the observant player. But there were too many references for this. Too much planning for this moment. Now with the next DLC for Control, we will see how everything how these games all happen in the same universe.

Jesse Fadden has a lot of work to do in the Oldest House. Some of the Bureau’s most dangerous work remains sealed off, and there are signs that there is something stalking in the Investigations Sector. Having threats inside the Oldest House, especially in Bureau sections, is too tempting a prize for Fadden, who has been cleaning house ever since Control launched last year.

AWE launches on August 27 and we are looking into what happened in Bright Falls. Yep. Better hope you have a good flashlight, because we are looking for a man that types up a storm.

Oh and there is an arcade machine that lets you replay the Ashtray Maze. Sign me up.

If it has the letters RPG in it, I am there. Still battling with balancing trying to play every single game that grabs my interest, getting 100% in a JRPG, and devoting time to my second home in Azeroth.
