Twin Mirror releases in December, promising thrills and investigations

Twin Mirror, the first self-published title by Dontnod, has a December release. A new trailer showcases the main character’s Mind Palace and a release date of December 1.

You play as Sam Higgs, a former investigative journalist. Sam is heading back to his hometown of Basswood, West Virginia for a funeral. Armed with deductive skills and a pretty sharp memory for details, Sam can’t help but try to unravel some of the mysteries in town, including the events leading up to the death that he has come home for. On top of this, Sam needs to deal with his past and a desire to reconnect with relatives.

Players will be able to explore Sam’s Mind Palace, a place he uses to practise his analytical skills, we well as housing for his various aspects. Using the Mind Palace, Sam can build out scenarios to attempt and recreate events, puzzling out what really happened.

But now, with all that is happening, Sam’s Mind Palace is showing strain. It can’t help him confront his fears or reconnect. In these cases, Sam uses his Double, a version of himself that is emphatic and social.

Twin Mirror is heading to PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

If it has the letters RPG in it, I am there. Still battling with balancing trying to play every single game that grabs my interest, getting 100% in a JRPG, and devoting time to my second home in Azeroth.
