Your Spider-Man PS4 saves won’t work with the PS5 remaster

If you want to play Spider-Man on PS5, you better be ready to start things off from scratch. The Ultimate Edition of Spider-Man: Miles Morales comes with a remaster of the PS4 game, but there is a caveat.

Developer Insomniac Games has confirmed that saves will not transfer from the PS4 game to the PS5 remaster.

The remaster will have updated lighting, art assets and animations. It also adds ray tracing, has faster loading times and denser crowds in New York, so maybe starting from scratch isn’t too bad, if you want to see everything again, but better looking.

Insomniac also confirmed that there will be no physical version of the Miles Morales’ Ultimate Edition. Sorry collectors, this one is digital-only

Miles Morales will be available on PS4 and PS5 on November 12, with PS5 only getting the Ultimate Edition on that day. The Ultimate Edition requires around 105GB of that PS5’s disk space.

If it has the letters RPG in it, I am there. Still battling with balancing trying to play every single game that grabs my interest, getting 100% in a JRPG, and devoting time to my second home in Azeroth.
