Inxile Entertainment is definitely keeping busy after the Microsoft acquisition. The team recently released Wasteland 3 and there is a VR shooter planned to release this year too called Frostpoint: Proving Grounds. But on top of that, the studio is busy with two RPGs right now as well.
Studio CEO Brian Fargo tweeted the news, but also pointed out that one of the games is in pre-production and thus many, many years away from release.
When Microsoft acquired Inxile in in 2017, Fargo postponed his plans for retirement, saying the deal would give the team more resources and even more time to work on things.
After Wasteland 3 got a glowing reception, all eyes will be on Inxile to see what they do next on the RPG front. Will it be new games, or sequels? We will have to wait and see. For now, I’m just happy knowing more RPGs are being worked on.
