Last night Blizzard announced that World of Warcraft: Shadowlands won’t be hitting its October 27 release date. In a tweet from the Warcraft account, executive producer John Hight said that the team wanted more time for polish and to “iterate on some interlocking pieces – particularly those related to the endgame”.
Hight says that Shadowlands is “one of the most intricate expansions” and also cites working from home during the Covid-19 pandemic.
While no release date has been mentioned, except that it should be before the end of 2020. The announcement did mention the date of the pre-patch however, which is something many players are waiting for. Come October 13 the new character levelling system, character customisation options and class changes will come into effect.
Guess I am levelling more alts. And hopefully finishing the Mechagon mount achievement….
