Genshin Impact is making inroads since release, with some 17 million downloads on mobile in the four days since release.
This free-to-play RPG is full of colour and anime-styled characters and it is quickly amassing records. GamesIndustry.biz says it is the biggest international launch of a Chinese game, while App Annie says there were 17M downloads just on mobile.
No specific numbers for PS4 and PC have been revealed, but it feels like pretty much every Discord I belong to has at least one person talking about Genshin Impact.
Daniel Ahmad, senior analyst at Niko Partners and Twitter information superstar (@ZhugeEx), told IGN that the game had made $50 million in its first week.
It is an amazing start to a title, and many more people flock to it as tales of co-op gameplay, solid voice acting or gorgeous visuals catch attention.
