Ghost of Tsushima was a roaring success for Sucker Punch, so it only stands to reason that the studio would want to build on that with a sequel. While nothing has been announced yet, some job listings for Sucker Punch seem to heavily hint at Ghost of Tsushima 2 being worked on.
The company has listings for a narrative writer and associate outsource artist. Nothing about that seems out of place, but both listings mention that a familiarity with Japanese culture and history is a bonus.
The artist position mentions people with a penchant for problem-solving that had enthusiasm or knowledge of “traditional Japanese culture and aesthetic.”
The narrative design listing mentions developing open-world stories for a diverse cast of characters “who live in the time period provided”. It also mentions that applicants should have a “desire to write stories set in feudal Japan”.
With the DLC for Ghost of Tsushima completed and the game’s roadmap pretty much wrapped up, it doesn’t take a scientist to work out that these listings are either for a sequel or a spin-off title.
