Everwild, the next game in the works by Rare, just lost its creative director. Simon Woodroffe resigned from his position at the studio.
In a report by VGC, the studio said that development would be in good hands going forward. “We thank Simon for all his hard work on Everwild and wish him the very best of luck for the future. The Everwild team are in good hands and passionate about building a game that will give players unforgettable experiences in a natural and magical world,” said studio head Craig Duncan.
Woodroffe joined Rare in 2012, before which he was head of design at Sega’s technology group.
Currently, we know very little about Everwild besides a focus on magic and nature.
It isn’t clear why Woodroffe resigned, but it doesn’t give a good look to Microsoft’s raft of studios that this is the second creative director that is leaving a project this week.
