Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is changing weapon XP rates

If you want the best attachments for your favourite gun in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, you are going to be using it a lot. Thanks to a new patch, the amount of grinding it takes to unlock everything has been reduced.

It isn’t clear how big of an adjustment has been made, but before the patch, it took somewhere around 1,200 kills to max out a weapon. That’s a whole lot of time to dedicate to a weapon just so that you have all the options at hand before you spend even more time with it. This applies to both Multiplayer and Zombies modes.

Speaking of Zombies, there was a bug that caused lower than expected weapon XP when playing solo and in later rounds, as well as an issue with earning XP when using the Napalm Burst Ammo Mod. These should be fixed so that you can go shoot zombies for the little bags of XP that they are.

In the patch notes, Treyarch says “To thank everyone for their patience, we’re planning even more 2WXP events in December.”

If it has the letters RPG in it, I am there. Still battling with balancing trying to play every single game that grabs my interest, getting 100% in a JRPG, and devoting time to my second home in Azeroth.
