Control breaks 2 million copies sold after amazing November sales

Control, a game I very much enjoyed last year (review over here), has broken the 2 million copies sold milestone. Millions of people have discovered the new weird of Remedy’s latest title, delving into the Oldest House and uncovering secrets.

Thomas Puha, communications director for Remedy, said the news was announced during a company briefing. “My boss just revealed in the @remedygamesCMD stream that the past November was Control’s best selling month (15 months after launch). In total, Control has sold over 2 million copies to date.”

The game was recently added to Xbox Game Pass, and is a game that can show off any RTX capable GPUs. It is always interesting to try and work out surges in sales for games, but the fact is more people will play Control, which means more people will see that sequence in The Ashtray Maze and that makes me excited. Maybe I need to go replay Control soon.

If it has the letters RPG in it, I am there. Still battling with balancing trying to play every single game that grabs my interest, getting 100% in a JRPG, and devoting time to my second home in Azeroth.
