Last night a Resident Evil showcase brought us more information about Resident Evil Village, including a release date of 7 May 2021.
Resident Evil Village will release on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and Xbox One on the same date. A PS5 non-combat demo is available right now, showing off the castle area. A different demo will eventually hit other platforms, which kinda sucks if you don’t have a PS5.
Each area has its own boss to deal with, and the castle belongs to a very tall vampire lady. It seems that this vampire lady reports to someone (which in itself is worrying), and her whole family is terrifying. Her brother sounds like the boss from another area in the game, and her daughters turn into swarms of angry insects.
Fans of Resident Evil 4 will be happy to see that the inventory management system of Village borrows heavily from the older game. There is also a merchant that appears all around the map. Totally not something to question…
