Lord of the Rings: Gollum gets pushed back to 2022

Daedalic Entertainment’s action-adventure game set in Tolkien’s Middle-earth is not going to make its originally announced release date. Lord of the Rings: Gollum will arrive on Xbox, PlayStation, Switch and PC in 2022.

We haven’t seen much of the game since it was initially announced back in March 2019, but Daedelic has shown some gameplay and how Gollum will look different from how he was portrayed in the Peter Jackson directed movies. The game relies heavily on tactical stealth, seeing as Gollum isn’t the strongest or bravest creature around. There was also an indication that we would be hearing or interacting with the two personalities of Gollum and Sméagol, and story decisions and dialogue choices could change how Gollum handles choices, interactions with other characters or who is at the helm, so to speak.

Lord of the Rings: Gollum was aiming for a late 2021 release, and no explanation has been made for the delay.

If it has the letters RPG in it, I am there. Still battling with balancing trying to play every single game that grabs my interest, getting 100% in a JRPG, and devoting time to my second home in Azeroth.
