On Xbox Wire, Microsoft announced the Xbox Wireless Headset, which is – you guessed it – a wireless headset for the Xbox family of products. The new headset is made to work with Xbox One, Xbox Series, PC and mobile devices.
The headset boasts up to 15 hours battery life, and a 30 minute charge will give you about 4 hours, perfect for an evening of killing loads of things with your friends.
The headset has Bluetooth for connecting to your phone so you can chat while gaming, or listen to your audiobook or podcast while grinding.
It looks pretty slick, and those large dials will really make it easy to get the volume right as you try balance in-game sound with party chat. The microphone also has an auto-mute feature for when you aren’t talking.
According to Xbox South Africa, the headset will be available here from 28 May for around R1799.
A while back, thanks to all the various connectors on every console, I had a headset for each gaming platform. Now I just move a small in-ear set around as I need.
