CD Projekt has announced that Patch 1.2 for Cyberpunk 2077 has been delayed, citing the recent cyber attack on the offices as a reason for the delay.
The delay was announced on Twitter. “While we dearly wanted to deliver Patch 1.2 for Cyberpunk 2077 in the timespan we detailed previously, the recent cyber attack on the studio’s IT infrastructure and extensive scope of the update mean this unfortunately will not happen.”
Patch 1.2 is supposed to bring “numerous overall quality improvements and fixes”. The patch is expected to release in the “second half of March” and it supposed to be a pretty hefty patch.
Between a pandemic and having the company you work at being hacked, it can’t be easy to concentrate on coding improvements right now. The last patch was released in January, which worked to remove some progress-breaking bugs (before shortly adding a new one).
