Quirky Playdate will have a PC mirror function

Back in May 2019, Panic, the team that published Firewatch and the unexpectedly successful fowl-led Untitled Goose Game, revealed they would be manufacturing a small handheld console that took my particular social media channels by storm. The Playdate’s bright yellow colour, simple 2.7″ black and white screen and of course conspicuous crank made it really stand out. The console was originally supposed to launch last year, but like so many other things in the world, it was delayed for obvious reasons. It is now due sometime this year – and believe it or not, it’s now ready for streamers…

The official Playdate Twitter account revealed that thanks to an app compatible with PC/Mac/Linux if and when you get your hands on one of these little devices you’ll not only be able to “mirror your screen in real-time” on your PC but PC input will also register on the Playdate too.
