Just two weeks ago we were celebrating Mario Day and I was able to look back at three decades worth of red-plumber themed memories. It was really fun to reminisce and it all coincided nicely with Nintendo’s push to highlight Jumpman’s 35th anniversary. As part of those festivities, Nintendo released a number of Mario themed games, mementoes and paraphernalia. Like some of you out there, I’ve enjoyed a lot of those already. However, if you haven’t yet and still plan to… look out! Tomorrow is your last day to get your hands on them.
So what are we talking about here? Well, the epically nostalgic The Game & Watch: Super Mario Bros. system will stop being shipped to retailers tomorrow. So that means whatever stock they have now, seemingly won’t be replenished. Then, we also know that the unique take on the Battle Royale genre – Super Mario Bros. 35 will also only be available until tomorrow before it suddenly disappears from the Switch Online platform. And if that wasn’t enough, the Super Mario 3D All-Stars collection will also no longer be available for digital download after tomorrow. Along with that, there’s several of the special Mario 35th anniversary items that were on sale that will also vanish over the next 24 hours or so. The internet has already dubbed it that day Mario dies.
Eeek, let’s hope not! But, it does seem to mark the unofficial end of the 35-year anniversary celebrations and it will include Nintendo doing strange Nintendo things… so do be sure to download and purchase anything you may want to have ASAP.
