Crysis was a game that many people used to benchmark their PC performance for years after its release. Even today you’ll often hear “But can it run Crysis?” followed by a nudge and a smile.
Well, the Crysis Remastered Trilogy is coming to PC and console later in 2021, so prepare to be asked that question again, and not so much in jest this time.
All three games are optimised for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC but will also be available for PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. If you haven’t played through this truly beautiful game world before, this is the perfect opportunity for an old experience made new.
The Crysis Remastered Trilogy will only include the single-player portion of the games, so don’t get your hopes up around reliving your multiplayer glory days, unfortunately.
You can choose to buy all three games separately (Crysis itself is already remastered for PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch with backwards compatibility on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S) or in this bundle when it releases.
With the Mass Effect Remaster being so well received, I expect that we will see many more older games getting glammed up. I’m not complaining, and really hope that there’s a Dragon Age remaster on the horizon.
