Palworld shows how we would probably exploit Pokemon

Ever wondered what Pokemon and late-stage capitalism would look like? Well, Palworld looks like it will be delving into that.

Pocket Pair is aiming for a 2022 release of their creature collector Palworld. The game is open-world survival with Pals, creatures that look a lot like Pokemon. In this world, Pals are used as factory workers, or to help with tasks around the farm or as shields against incoming enemy bullets. Poor little sheep thing.

Using Pals for more than just battling other collectors sounds pretty fun to me, and I would love to build a massive farm where most of my creatures are happy and don’t have to work all that hard. You know, except for the ones underground, who work in the caves and mines, never seeing the sky again.

Get ready to fight off poachers and to explore dungeons with the help of your Pals, when you aren’t farming up a storm, that is.

Palworld is currently only listed for Steam.

If it has the letters RPG in it, I am there. Still battling with balancing trying to play every single game that grabs my interest, getting 100% in a JRPG, and devoting time to my second home in Azeroth.
