Prince of Persia: Sands of Time remake gets another delay

Ubisoft’s Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake has just been delayed again, this time into next year.

Originally the remake was planned to launch this year in January, before a delay to March near the end of last year. Then it was delayed again, but this time it was indefinitely delayed as Ubisoft Pune and Mumbai worked to deliver “a remake that feels fresh while remaining faithful to the original”.

Now after a period of radio silence, the Twitter account for the game posted a statement that the game will not be at Ubisoft’s Forward livestream and that it will release in 2022.

“As you might have already read, Price of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake will not be in Ubisoft Forward. We are making great progress for our game to release next year, but we are not ready to share any additional information just yet”.

It will be interesting to see what gets changed since the initial announcement, where the remake was changing the camera and the combat controls, but leaving most of the game as it was.

If it has the letters RPG in it, I am there. Still battling with balancing trying to play every single game that grabs my interest, getting 100% in a JRPG, and devoting time to my second home in Azeroth.
