The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes will take us underground in October

A horror game releasing around Halloween, who would have imagined it? On October 22 Supermassive Games will be taking us all underground in The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes.

Army soldiers head into an underground storage area, looking for chemical weapons. A skirmish breaks out and in the chaos, the troops fall down into a sinkhole. Deep underground, something powerful and fast approaches and one by one, soldiers get picked off.

If you want to keep the look of the big bad a secret, don’t watch this trailer beyond the two minute marker.

It seems like an amazing setting and I am keen to see what Supermassive does with a group of soldiers encountering something they haven’t trained for. I’m also interested in seeing how they create any sense of empathy for the crew of hardened soldiers instead of being with teenagers and people caught out of their depth.

If it has the letters RPG in it, I am there. Still battling with balancing trying to play every single game that grabs my interest, getting 100% in a JRPG, and devoting time to my second home in Azeroth.
