The latest Assassin’s Creed Valhalla patch adds mastery challenges to the world

Today update 1.2.2 goes live on PC, PlayStation and Xbox and it has a whole raft of bug fixes and new things to do in the game.

I would normally write about the various bugs being fixed, but this patch has hundreds of them and it would be pages upon pages long. You can see the full patch notes here.

The important part of the update is adding Mastery Challenge shrines to the game. You need to be at power level 221+ to access these shrines to test your skills. Each shrine has a trial related to the three disciplines: Bear (combat), Wolf (ranged) and Raven (stealth).

The rewards are meant to ” show your Mastery and give you more options in combat.”

River Raids are also getting a tweak so that there are better rewards at higher alert levels and more armour sets to acquire from going pillaging.

The patch is meant to go live at 2 pm, so I guess I know what I am doing this evening.

If it has the letters RPG in it, I am there. Still battling with balancing trying to play every single game that grabs my interest, getting 100% in a JRPG, and devoting time to my second home in Azeroth.
