Cyberpunk 2077 is coming back to the PlayStation Store with a caveat

CD Projekt Red announced that Cyberpunk 2077 will be back on the PlayStation store on June 21, but there is a little note from Sony attached to the game.

“Users will continue to experience performance issues with the PS4 edition while CD Projekt Red continues to improve stability across all platforms. SIE recommends playing the title on PS4 Pro or PS5 for the best experience.”

CD Projekt’s announcement of the game being back on the PS Store is pretty dry and possibly written by a machine or someone desperately waiting for help or release. “The Management Board of CD Projekt S.A. with a registered office in Warsaw hereby publicly discloses the decision by Sony Interactive Entertainment to reinstate the availability of the digital edition of Cyberpunk 2077 on PlayStation Store, effective on 21 June 2021.”

So you can buy Cyperpunk 2077 to play on your PS4 again, but you probably, really shouldn’t do that. Unless you have a PS4 Pro or a PS5, you might find the performance to be too terrible, and you probably won’t get a refund with that announcement of not recommending it for the base model PS4.

If it has the letters RPG in it, I am there. Still battling with balancing trying to play every single game that grabs my interest, getting 100% in a JRPG, and devoting time to my second home in Azeroth.
