Sony announces State of Play for tomorrow night

With E3 well behind us now, you may be forgiven for forgetting that Sony had no presence at the show. Of course, this has been the case for a few years now. That being the case, though, we’ve all been wondering when Sony will give us some news on what’s coming up on the PlayStation. Well, you’ll be happy to hear that we will be getting a State Of Play tomorrow. According to the PlayStation blog, the presentation will only be 30 minutes long and don’t expect any big Sony first-party news…

The Sony team is clearly trying to manage expectations and have already revealed that neither “the next God of War, Horizon Forbidden West or the next generation of PlayStation VR” will be making an appearance. Instead, there will be a nine-minute showcase of Deathloop and “lots of updates on indies and exciting third-party games“. The focus on Deathloop (a game developed by Arkane Studios and published by Bethesda) is particularly unique considering that Bethesda now falls under the Xbox umbrella. In any case, if you’re hoping to tune in just remember the presentation will kick off quite late for us locally, starting at 11:00 PM.
