Warhammer fans were expecting the Darktide co-op game later this year, but developer Fatshark has announced a delay into early 2022 on Twitter.
It’s no secret that building a game during a pandemic is a challenge and we are not immune to this.
So it comes down to the pandemic in short, but the bright side is a delay also means a more polished game. As 2021 goes on, I am sure we will be seeing more and more of these announcements, as development houses are affected globally by the pandemic.
As mentioned it also gives the team more time to lay down the foundations for future content. So even though fans are facing a delay now, a polished game with a future is on its way next year.
If the Vermintide series is anything to go by, Darktide will be a Warhammer 40K co-op spectacle. Sounds like something worth waiting for.
