Nintendo Indie World Showcase recap

It’s been a great week for Indies. On Tuesday, we got a really enjoyable ID@Xbox event. If you missed it, be sure to check out our rundown here. Of course, over the last few years, the Switch has become the unofficial home of the Indie. And yesterday, Nintendo showed off some of their very own Indie highlights; Games we’ll be seeing on the hybrid console for the rest of the year as well as some titles from 2022 too.

There were some new games (or at least ones with new info/dates) along with quite a few titles we’ve seen before. Some were definitely not for me but I’m rather keen to find out more about Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, Toem and Far: Changing Tides. And I know lots of you will be happy to hear that Axiom Verge 2 is out now. Jump to any specific games trailers that catch your eye from our list below.

Bomb Rush Cyberfunk (2022)
TOEM (Spring 2021)
Loop Hero (Summer 2021)
FAR: Changing Tides (Early 2022)
Necrobarista: Final Pour (Out Now)
Garden Story (Out Now)
Boyfriend Dungeon (Out Now)
Axiom Verge 2 (Out Now)
Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon (This Holiday)
Metal Slug Tactics (2022)
Tetris Effect: Connected (8 Oct 2021)
Eastward (16 Sep 2021)

As usual, there was also a fast montage giving a quick look at few other games. This time the montage included: Lumbearjack, Astroneer, Hundred Days – Winemaking Simulator, Slime Rancher: Plortable Edition, Gang Beasts and Curious Expedition 2. The full approximately 20-minute showcase can be checked out below.
