We haven’t had a State Of Play in some time, so maybe that’s why expectations were high, but really, it was 22 minutes or so of not much worth talking about. I’ll still take you through the most important of what we saw below.
First Class Trouble
In First Class Trouble, coming to PS Plus between the 2nd of November and 6th of December 2021, you and your friends are trapped on a cruise ship you are trying to escape. The problem is, two of your friends are going to be randomly selected to try and stop you from doing just that.
We Are OFK
This is a story-based adventure that follows the lives of the indie pop band (yes, they exist in real life) named We Are OFK. There will be 5 episodes, each culminating in the release of a new song from the bands new EP. The game will follow the band members’ love lives, careers and more.
The King of Fighters XV Beta
The newest entry into the King of Fighters series is moving into an open beta phase from the 19 to 22nd of November 2021. There will be 8 playable fighters, a offline practice mode and online matches. Available on PS4 and PS5.
Deathverse is a new Battle Royale set in the Let it Die Universe. It comes complete with crazy looking weapons and character customisation as well as some very strange looking (to me) PvPvE combat.
Death’s Door has been super well received on PC, and was announced to be coming to PS4 and PS5 mext month, on November 23. Trust me, you’ll love this crow.
Star Ocean: The Divine Force
Now for this one I know many people are super happy to hear about. The Star Ocean franchise has been around for as long as I remember and has quite the following. The newest entry is expected in 2022 and features two main characters who you build a party around. In the trailer below we get to see some exploration, a very large city, cool looking combat and more.
Five Nights at Freddy’s Security Breach
Just in time for the spookiest day of the year, we have the latest game in the Five Nights at Freddy’s franchise announced. It will only be available to play on December 16, but certainly looks a bit hair-raising.
Bugsnax: The Isle of BIGsnax
I’ve never really known how to describe Bugsnax, but its done Sony well enough to deserve a free update for all owners of the game early next year. A new island will appear from the bottom of the ocean, and there will be more Bugsnax to catch.
Little Devil Inside
In June 2020, when the PS5 was revealed, so was Little Devil Inside. Last night finally revealed some gameplay, and was notably my highlight of the show. It seems there will be cooking and hunting, and of course combat. The art style is wonderful, and I really hope the game reaches its full potential.
Those were the biggest announcements from the show. Which are you looking forward to most?
