Starfield - Bethesda Softworks

I'm really enjoying my time with the game. I'm about 22 hours in and hit level 20 last night. I've done a few story quests but I joined a faction and completed the whole questline for it and bought a house. Spent some time last night working on decorating my house but it still needs a lot of work. This is probably my favourite Bethesda game since Oblivion.

What...you bought a house? Ouposts, houses, hell I may as well take that job with UC Security as a fallback if Constellation doesn't work out. LOL

Only level 10 myself, but have never been in less of a rush.

edit: OBLIVION is my favourite Elder scroll title as well.

Alex Hay was a big Bethesda fan (Reddit) who was sick. He made a post that he won’t be able to play when it comes out and wishing those who do, enjoyment. Because by that time he would have passed away Bethesda did the heartfelt thing and paid tribute to him in Starfield

You can change your name and appearance at a vendor.
Here is a list of 1002 names Vasco will say

Standouts I am considering:

Bastard, Badass, Dong, Fuck, Fucker, Fuckface, Fury, Norman, Nuke, Ripley, Muhammed, Titties, Williams

because ..reasons :)

Who can deny the prestige of: Captain Titties

Our names are not there.

But I think I am going to change it to Captain Dong.

I think you can also get a free house at start if you choose the dream house trait.

There is so much FO76 mechanic and loop under the hood here......

Legendary pre fixes, crafting, base building, decorating. ship targeting, photo mode, resting vendor reset etc.

Todd hitting me in the feels.

Glad you chaps are enjoying it. I wonder how long it will be before devs start using chat gpt like A.I. for NPC interactions and quests. That world would be crazy :p

When space ship flying/combat eventually 'clicks' it is so good. Once my fat fingers and brain understood its not Forza, no continued acceleration required, roll in fights, boost and strafe to break missile locks, it is plain fun and a game on its own. And advanced targeting. OMW. Todd is a genius.

Word of advice: Put points into Advanced targeting. It is Starfield's VATS system and it is fantastic.

Outer Worlds >>> Starfield
Please make an OUTER WORLDS thread and wax lyrical about it there.
This is a thread about the best video game ever made.
I understand some people vehemently believe the Earth is flat but posting that opinion on NASA's board may be considered bad form.

Already on my second playthrough (rushed the first one because I found out you get stuff on the second playthrough.)

Been hitting all the factions quests now, currently level 50.

This game is a problem though, I look at my watch, its midnight, I look at it again 10 minutes later and its 4AM and I have work in a few hours lol.

I haven't even started, and probably won't for a few months. Totally burnt out on open worlds after playing Hogwarts, Cyberpunk, and Jedi Survivor the last few months.

Hogwarts was a grind.

I have decided to do a bit of the main mission and I have reached a point where the game starts to play differently and it opens up even more, the beginning is overwhelming but now I have a better understanding of the game mechanics.

This is a huge game and luckily there is fast travel.

This is an awesome experience and one of the best games I have played in a long time.

How the hell are people done or on replay already?Level 20 now and mm in absolutely no rush. Every time i play i come across something, find something that has me grinning like a cheshire cat.
Was enjoying a asteroid field, practicing flying, blowing up rocks for free resources, find a derelict station. 2 hours later I am still there, searching for way to unlock and find the 'secret' cargo crew died for. That I wouldn't have known about if Sarah didn't mention an odd place for a door. And every few minutes gravity was on/off in the station, so it was zero g fighting and exploring, then crash back down. Good times.

( Precog has me LOL. You will know when you get it, and how to use it. Game does not tell you )

NB: Advise you follow no guide, look up nothing unless you are really stuck with a mechanic. Game is so rewarding to exploration. Don't reduce your enjoyment.
