Just because everyone you know bought it digitally does not mean that those wanting a physical do not magically exist anymore. There are still plenty of people who use 3G or LTE to connect or are in areas that does not have ADSL coverage. And there is no way you should or can defend a business practice like paying full price for a disc with a 300MB link on it.

    You are not wrong but,

have you read EULA wrt games? You 'buy' the right to play the game. You never buy 'data'. They should have had the details on the dvd cover etc etc, but no game is sold as data, you just buy the licence to play it.

Total **** move from the publisher, but technically they can shrug their shoulders and say read the licence agreement.

EULA only pertains to the purchaser's right to use the software or in the case play said game. The EULA does not pertain the the actual data contained on the disc, except in cases where it is stated that you are not allowed to edit or modify data that is contained on the disc. But weather or not you have a complete or incomplete game on the disc has nothing to do with the EULA. And is more an oversight on the publishers side for not mentioning that you require a 20GB download for the complete game.

they should display more prominently on the physical box the fact that's it's a download only copy. Maybe they only produced physical boxes for MKX because those people who shop in physical stores won't see it if it's not displayed on a shelf, and to display it one needs a box. It's for advertising.

Then why not just give out a voucher style card with the download code? Handing out a DVD and charging full price for it making users assume and not clearly stating it is not the full game is bull****ting at the highest level.
