I haven’t really had time to test them out properly but so far I’m impressed. I’m working the morning shift today and it’s a bit busy during the day to sit and play Switch. I did quickly load up Borderlands TPS to test it out though, and it’s a HUGE improvement in both comfort and ease of use compared to tiny joycons, especially for an FPS game.
I will definitely test it some more over the weekend and provide feedback.
The only negative is lack of certain features like rumble, motion control and NFC support and of course the fact that they don’t have batteries so can only be used attached to console, but those don’t bother me.

No batteries? So they will use up your switchs handheld time faster? Will you also let us know the impact of that?

I’ve been playing a bit of Borderlands and Xenoblade with the split pad and I absolutely love this thing. It works great, especially for a shooter like Borderlands. Being able to assign the LS and RS clicks to the back paddles is really great and very convenient. The analogue sticks are miles ahead of the joycons and the bigger buttons are great too. More traditional triggers would have been better but the buttons here do the job perfectly fine. I haven’t noticed any extra battery drain but I’m on an OG Switch so battery is not great to start with.
Overall I’m very happy with my purchase.
