LRoA is a great game too. Simple intuitive rules. Plays reasonably quick.

I'm looking at getting myself a few board/card games to play with friends when they come over what would you guys recommend I look at we usually play games like monopoly 30 seconds Uno cards against humanity also where can I get a cheap copy of cards against humanity.

I would recommend *Point Salad* - it takes only a few minutes to explain and a game is typically done in about 20 minutes.

*Ticket to Ride* is a favorite among many people. Simple rules. It's more fun (chaotic) with more people.

*7 Wonders* is a great civilization building game with streamlined mechanics. It supports a high player count.

There are probably many more recommendations. But have a look at those first.
