Played Everdell yesterday at Big Box Cafe. They have the collectors edition with the nice components and additional legendary cards. I was really impressed with the aesthetics of the game. Beautiful artwork on both the board and the cards, with some nice flavor-text on them making them feel part of a story. It is basically a worker placement combined with a tableau deck builder. I haven't played a lot of other worker placement games so can't really compare, but it's definitely something I'd play again.

I traded my copy of Lords of Vegas for Minerva. Apparently it's not that great at 2 but there is a solo option and it'll get played at games night at some point in the future.

Incidentally if anyone's looking for a cheap copy of Lords of Vegas, they can find it at Big Box

Picked a great deduction game. Also like the app integration. Really looking forward to play this one.

I typically buy games online. When I go to an FLGS, my common sense tends to leave. I got this yesterday from Durbanville Games knowing that it doesn't support solo and is better at the full player count.

Hopefully it'll get a play in the next few weeks at games night.

A very nice 2 player game of RFTG.

Got really lucky with Alien worlds and military powers.

Win for me and a loss for the SO. She declared a rematch for the weekend hehe.

I quite liked Shipyard but my wife literally fell asleep half way through the game. It hasn't gotten played since so I decided to trade it away for a copy of This War is Mine. I intend to play it solo.

Game is difficult enough without being a boardgame
