Can you use Whatsapp with 2 different numbers on a Single Dual Sim Android Phone?

Good day all.

I need some advice here.

I got a brother in law who has two phones with two different numbers who is using for personal and work use which is Samsung Galaxy S7 and S8. Carry two phones during the week is just too much for him and I thought maybe we can go for nice new android phone that supports dual sim and just simple focus on one phone. I know getting calls and data from both sims will work just fine but one thing I am not 100% sure is whatsapp with two different numbers. Will it work? Can you get whatsapp both working with two different numbers?

If anyone has done it before please share your feedback about it.

I got decent experience with Android phones in general.

there are apps like parallel space, which allow you to have 2 accounton the same phone, works for whatsapp, fb, IG, and games.
Many more apps like this out there, i dont recommend parallel space because it has a lot of ads, but other than ads it works smoothly

Yeah. I was playing around with a Xiaomi the other day and it had the features to clone apps for the same purpose. Apparently all of the newer Chinese phones have this ability.

The S8 should have a feature to install 2 instances of whatsapp. That's half the problem solved. I'm not sure if it can be used with 2 numbers though. I've never tried it. It's called dual messanger I think. Just press and hold the WhatsApp icon and it will say install second app or something like that

The other half may be solved by call diverting from his second sim to the main. Only SMS's won't come to the S8 then
