    Question Dual vs Ultrawide

Hey guys, so I'm thinking of doing a bit of an upgrade. The reason being I have 2 Dell S2715H monitors, which are big and great, but I can't dual-screen game on them because the bezel in the middle just annoys the hell out of me.

I contemplated getting a third monitor to fix this problem, but for some reason the price of S2715H's are absurdly high.

So now I'm sitting with this conundrum. Should I sell my 2 monitors and use the cash to buy one Ultrawide monitor? Coming from such large screen real-estate I'd need a decent sized one. I think 34" minimum?
Or am I being a chop and should just keep my dual setup and save for a 3rd monitor?

Sell and get Ultrawide you feel you need the extra horizontal space. A 34" Ultrawide has the same height as a 27" 16:9 display.

The bezel irritates me as well, that's why I'll never go multi monitor for a gaming setup.

When games properly support ultrawide its the way to go. When they don't be prepared for black bars. That said your focus is mainly on the center of your screen so in a game like say RE7 the black bars didn't detract that much from my gaming experience. In MMOs having the extra screen space works wonders for inventory management.

I have been eyeing one of those 27" Dell monitors as well, but I'm a little worried how everything will look like over its slow refresh rate (+6ms)?

I must say, Ive never noticed any refresh delay with my 27's however I haven't compared it side by side to something better

After doing a bit of research, I was leaning towards the LG 34UM68-P. But you know what.... its not actually worth it imo. If I was to ditch my two monitors for one, I should rather go for at least a higher res/refresh rate.. otherwise its not much of an "upgrade" per se'. Until I'm willing to get one of those, Its probably smarter to stick to gaming on one 27" for now.

But to be honest I've now been waiting on the 200hz refresh model with HDR for a year.

That PG35VQ is one beaut of a monitor. I might just sell mine to buy it in the future. Do you think the price will be around 30k locally?

I have an idea that this one will be atleast $ 1500

I see there is also an Acer Predator X35 with similar specs.
