Default I am about to give up...any advice welcome

So.... I want to buy a pair of headphones and I cannot freaken decide what I want.

I have a samson meteor mic so it opens up the choices a lot as I do not have to go with a headset that has a mic.

This is what I have so far, what route do you think is best?

    1) Wireless with mic - Steelseries Arctis 7
    2) Wireless with no mic - Sennheiser RS 165 or 175
    3) Wired with no mic - Sennheiser 599
    4) Wired with mic - I currently own the turtle beach earforce x12.

Reason for upgrading is I find that in Fortnite my spacial awareness of sounds is not that great, and was wondering if it could be my current setup?

I have done so much research that I have kinda given up for now.

    Any feedback would be appreciated.

You didn't specify for what device but I'm guessing PC.

Why not the Sennheiser 4.5 BTNC? Skip all the nonsense with proprietary stand and wireless tech and use an open standard across many different devices.

    Also no fiddling with batteries.

What about this one - it's cheaper than the 4.5.

Homie can use his monopoly money to buy it as well. I think Dischem vouchers might still be 40 percent off.

    No Noise Cancelling.

    Otherwise it's identical.

Personally I wouldn't buy anything without ANC now.

    PC.

AFAIK - bluetooth will have latency issues. Want to aim for under 50ms. Could be horribly wrong here, but this is what my research has led me to believe.

We are in the modern world of Bluetooth 4.0 mate...no latency to worry bout.

Besides I'll eat my hat if you can perceive 50ms with your ears...and even if you can if it will matter at all.

There are paper value "issues" and then there is the real world and honestly I think a fiddly wire is going to throw your game off more than wireless latency.

But if these things really matter to you and will bother you (even if only placebo) then I guess wired is the way to go.

My Sennheiser Game One's are awesome and basically the same as the 599 but in a cheaper casing.
