So let me understand it better, for a 20Mbs line the 50% is 900Gb or is it 50% of 900Gb that would be 450Gb.

Just want to know because I'm looking at getting a ficed line at my new place.
We do allot of streaming and gaming.

Family of 4 go's through about 350 Gigs a month at the moment.
I'm on Telkom LTE and get throttled at 300Gbs.
I thought I made it quite clear that you are at 50% and the FUP become active at those volumes.

    So yes 900GB is 50% of 1800GB.

Aah I see you found it.

I've been with MWeb for a few years and everything seems to work, but judging from all the "thanks" MWeb has a pretty bad rep?

Anyhoo I've recently acquired a 4K TV, so I'm also looking into upgrading my line speed: maybe to 20mbs so as to stream 4K Netflix. [no fibre in my area yet, so stuck with ADSL]
So I'm looking online at the pricing options:
    mweb.jpg
I see that 2Mbps uncapped is R89 / month, but looking at my bill I see that I've been paying about R180.
    Phone them up:
Consultant: Ja, but that's a "premium package" that won't be throttled.
Me: Oh. So when the website says 20Mbps is R509 / month that's the "basic" version that will be throttled, so no good for streaming?
    Consultant: Yes sir.
Me: So what is the price for 20Mbps premium. I don't see it on the website?
Consultant: Ja it's not listed there. I'll just look it up for you. It's R1099 per month...
    Me: OK thanks, bye...

Try Crystal Web. Their 18 hours free data promo is nice.
Final Fantasy 15 was disappointing. Hype failed me. I am Squirtbird.

I'm on the standard 20Mbps from MWEB. They throttle at the FUP which is at 500Gb.

At Cool Ideas you can get the 50/50 fibre option for about that price. You can stream 500GB per day on that. No FUP.

I should probably know this but what is the benefit of a high upload speed, like from 25 Mbps to 50 Mpbs?
