    Itís not your network struggling.

Itís your server struggling to transcode it.

Log into Plex server and see what itís doing under Status.

I almost guarantee itís transcoding on the fly and thatís your bottleneck.

Make sure not to set quality and always keep it on Original so it doesnít transcode anything. If it still transcodes then itís a format it doesnít like.

If it really is a range issue then switching to 2.4ghz will put you back on 802.11n, so you are back to square one. Even though 802.11n should cope still.

I'll check but I always use original quality. These are 20+gb files though.

OH could be, I just installed it and let it do its thing, never checked the settings. It's for the bedroom tv, a small 43".

Yeah if you watch the server side youíll see itís transcoding and it does that to H264 1080p.

    Only MP4 will Direct Play.

    Hey

I've been running Serviio and it's been working really well when streaming HD to my PS4, I tried last night to stream the 4K files to the PS4 and they dont work.

Accessing Serviio from my TV worked but because the TV is not hardlined it's super clunky, I need to get a cable to the TV and it'll be perfect.

Only real downside is that the player on the TV is pretty crappy.
