I'm trying to figure out if I should dip R26k for a 55" C9 or wait for the CX but then its gonna be R30k+25% or so.

Why not wait for the CX and then buy the C9, surely they will drop C9 prices once the CX arrives.

I'm in the same position, but don't know what size to go with as i don't know what room it'll end up in. I have time. My thinking though is that i'll go for the C9 if the prices drop, i can't see anything that the CX is going to have that is a "must have".

The thing is at R26k a 55" C9 is cheap if you consider that I bought my C8 2 years ago for R30k. With the rand losing its buying power I don't know if they will drop the price or raise it or keep it as it and when the CX launches simply have that as the R40k 55" option vs a R30k 55" option.

The alternative and most straight forward one is just wait and dont buy anything for now until the consoles are actually out and the C11 comes out with even more features. Besides I am sitting with a 9.1 sound system so would love to see what sony does with the PS5 and its sound processing.

The future is uncertain, the supply chain will invariably be impacted by exchange rate fluctuations, so that has will be the case for a while going forward ....tough decisions

Glad I got my c9 a few weeks ago. With the exchange rate these tv prices are gonna go through the roof!
