Food ...can be substituted by prolonged gaming sessions.

In all honesty though, running a family business and have no down payments on anything. With the interest saved, put that into a savings account for when its needed.

However my expenses might be a bit overboard. The gpu and ps5 were planned but when I decided to drop the gpu I went with a SeX. Problem is I replaced the GPU anyway.

Never underestimate the buying power if you don't have kids.
Dual income, no kids, 40's = you can buy what you like each month.

    Yip.

I speak from experience, have been in relationships all my life, was about to get married in 2018 August, I left her 3 months before that for another chick (to have a proper excuse not to get married), left that chick one year later. Single for the first time in a decade and a half.

2020 has been one of the best years of my life if not the best, I only took a girl to please everyone around me because like religion people expect you to have a family and what what. I was always on my happiest the moment the girl went home so that I could play games.

Never follow what society expects of you, follow your own interests. I'm not sure what kind of super wife I would need to satisfy me, but the ones I've had I don't miss a single minute of my life. And the one I was going to marry was the kind everyone would always say jis you're lucky, super faithful, beautiful, super nice. But her interests just didn't align with mine. 10 years of my life, but I don't miss a moment. I feel bad for wasting her time but life is too short to live with regrets so I just don't regret any of it.

This is supposed to be a year of strife, but I'm debt free for the first time in many years and have managed to buy literally all the things I desired so far.

And **** I can't stand children, I would've been a bitter **** if I had a family now. They take up far too much time which I don't want to share and I just hate to make myself stupid for a moment to play with a kid, I don't have that kind of empathy.

Having a family is all about self sacrifice basically, you have to think of the family and especially the kids first, every cent must first go to their education and their gifts, cloths, food etc. By the time you paid for all that you have nothing left for yourself. If life was 200 years I would say sure lets do it, but by the time your family is complete and grown up you're ready to die almost, then all that time that you could've enjoyed yourself and did something for yourself is gone.

Some people thrive on that kind of lifestyle, but I don't even consider it an option anymore.

Just to recap on settings for HDR:

On PS5/Xbox make sure RGB range is set to full.
On TV make sure black level is set to high. I'm guessing same should be done with the Switch.

Make sure HGIG is turned on or turn off dynamic tone mapping.

For PS5 HDR calibrations settings :

Adjust HDR 1/3: Adjust until sun completely disappears

Adjust HDR 2/3: Adjust until sun completely disappears

Adjust HDR 3/3: Set to darkest possible setting

Need to go recheck the xbox and maybe do the same.

The reason he said to set it to Full and RGB to High is he said there's something off with the conversion, in Miles Morales at least (which could easily be resolved with an update). I would leave the Xbox* and Switch to Limited and Low - but the differences should mostly be academic, so feel free to do as you want.

Also, Full and High only applies if you have an HDMI 2.1 TV. If your TV is limited to 2.0, you'll get Limited output from the PS5 no matter what setting you pick when using HDR, so setting the TV to High would cause a mismatch, it must be set to Low.

Only if your display shows the sun clearly at the next step down, if you can barely see the sun, you should leave it at that setting.

    Same deal here.

*EDIT: In this video for the Xbox Series Vincent says to leave it on Limited / Low (from 23:15):

Wowzers, not the topic of this forum, but quite the thread :-)

Each to their own - but you do know that it is also possible to have the wife and kid AND have everything else if you work for it, and get a bit lucky I guess.

Everyone has their own priorities in life.
