Quite happy with my Snug Powerbank, very pricey but charges fast. Had Romoss before which puffed up and no longer works.

Would also suggest the Snug over all the others. Raru has the 15000 mah on special at the moment

Got a branded Tuff-Luv from a client as a gift and that **** died after one charge, he felt bad so he got me one off Takealot and that died after a week, so it would be the only one I would highly recommend against.

Another vote for Romoss from my me.

Got a 20 000mAh and 16 000mAh for 2.5ish years and still holds it charge.

Can you recommend a make/model available locally, at a reasonable price ?
30,000 is way more than power than you need. A 10,000 will do about 4-5 charges on an iPhone or Samsung.

Also like @SauRoN said, you only really need 1-2 charges anyways. If you're hiking, you won't need it during the day, and hopefully there won't be reception to begin with if you're hiking anywhere worthwhile.

Otter Trail in PE. No reception most of the time :-)
