    Default Hisense A6500 vs M5010

So, I'm in the market for a new TV, budget approximately R 10 000-00. The catch is that I can only purchase at Takealot due to the fact that I have a voucher there.

I read quite a few of the threads on here and could gather the following:

    MU7000 Samsung = good.
    M7000 Hisense = good.
M5010 Hisense = not sure as the model may or may not be the international N6800. Reviews and proper specs are almost impossible to come by. Seems good though.
The nice LGs are out of my budget.
<1000 nits - not true HDR?

Size requirements - 50" - 55". I'll be gaming on it as well and will in all probability get a separate Mi TV Box as I want to view DSTV Now.

Pricing wise, the 50" M5010 at Takealot look like a really good deal currently. https://www.takealot.com/hisense-50-...v/PLID44922781

BUT, I see the 2018 A6500 is available well within my budget: https://www.takealot.com/hisense-50-...v/PLID51970922

I could not really get any reviews of the A6500 yet.

My question is if the A6500 is worth the extra R 2000. Any other input will be highly appreciated.

In your position I would probably buy this...

Also resolves the Mi Box problem.

This is actually a good TV a mate of mine has one, Don't know about DSTV now, but Showmax Prime and Netflix work perfectly.

It's certified Android TV so it will install DSTV Now and the rest without an issue.

I checked it out at Makro and for that kind of money seemed pretty solid.

I'm lead to believe it's an LG IPS panel in there.
