Cool Freja and the False Prophecy - Local Game in Development

    Hi Guys and Girls.

My name is Lasse and I'm a developer for a small development studio based in Cape Town. We're currently working on our first title: Freja and the False Prophecy.

Freja and the False Prophecy is a tale of a shieldmaiden's journey of self discovery and retribution. A dark 2d action-adventure game set in the world of Norse mythology.

We'd love it if you guys took a look at our progress thus far and let us know what you think. We're really proud of what we've managed to accomplish thus far and our crowdfunding campaign is coming soon!! (super excited and just a bit nervous)

I'd also love to answer any questions you may have or listen to your suggestions.

    Have an awesome day!

game looks cool, and art is attractive. Is it all hand drawn?
few screens and gifs does look like the pics could be 'fuller or busier', my zero dev/design knowledge opinion.
Are you targeting any specific platform besides steam?

looks rad. The one picture of the trees reminds me of Ashen Lake (Dark Souls 1)
Is it going to be challenging like Salt and Sanctuary or more of a easy play though like Journey?

I enjoy a good indie game here and there. Hopefully you guys get it out and will consider picking it up

    What platforms you launching on?

I'm not at all a fan of platformer's but I have played and finished megaman series 1-4 back on the famicom or nes.
This game looks good, graphics wise. Hoping the story will drive it home for myself.
So far so good with the updating and social media presence as well.

Like what the previous two posters asked, Target market and platform?

Hey guys, thanks for the replies.

So far we're aiming at launching initially on Windows and the hopefully switch/xbox/ps4. Hoping we're successful with our campaign because that will make it easier to aim for more platforms. Either way, whether we raise the money or not, we're still going to make the game I think.

It'll be about the same difficulty as Salt & Sanctuary. Maybe slightly easier.

All the art is hand drawn, but we often procedurally generate assets with houdini which our artists then paint over.

Yeah we're trying to save some stuff for our trailer videos.

Also the aesthetic we're trying to achieve is a bit of adventure and fewer encounters (but the ones you do have are quite challenging)

    Hi unsigneddouble

It looks great, the graphics look like coming out of a medieval story book.
Great to know we have local talent in our country!
In terms of the funding, how do you guys are financing the development costs if I may ask.
